LWSC Boat Storage Yard

Lake Washington Sailing Club offers storage of members’ boats in our boat storage yard. This allows members to keep their boats close to the water with the mast up and ready to sail on a moment’s notice.

With nearly two acres of storage space, we have room for boats big and small. Boats with engines and fuel must show proof of insurance. To apply for a space, please complete the  Rental Agreement. Return the application to the Port Captain (lwsail.portcaptain@gmail.com) who will assign a parking spot. The club Treasurer (lwsail.treasurer@gmail.com) will then bill you for the space.

What are best practices for the usage of the space?
What are best practices for the usage of the space?
  1. All gear and equipment must be on the boat, trailer, or rack, not on the ground or fence. A suitable dock box or storage container shall be allowed on the ground, within the confines of your space, but must be approved by the Harbormaster. Boats stored on a dolly are acceptable.
  2. Every effort should be made to eliminate halyards slapping masts.
  3. All boats must be maintained in a seaworthy and presentable condition acceptable to the Harbormaster and must be sailed at least two (2) separate times within a twelve (12) month period unless prior arrangements have been made with the Harbormaster. All trailers must be operable in the event a boat needs to be moved for Yard maintenance or an emergency.
  4. The ends of the rows are not designated rental spaces and shall be left free of racks, boats, trailers, or any other odd items.
  5. Major repair work in the Yard is only permitted in the maintenance area, and no work shall be done or loud noise after sundown.
  6. Any vessel or trailer not in compliance with these rules is subject to impound and forfeiture of Yard space at the discretion of the Harbormaster. Upon impound double storage fees will apply until the non-compliant vessel or trailer is brought into compliance or an agreement is reached with the Harbormaster. Those noncompliant vessels with outstanding Club charges/fees are subject to lien proceedings and may be sold or disposed of by LWSC to satisfy the outstanding debt.
