Annual Opening Day

One of our biggest event of the year, typically the last Saturday in April, gives us the pleasure of welcoming all of our members, their family, and their gusts to sailboat rides, orientation to the club facilities, and get everyone into the start of the new season.  This is a chance to participate shoulder-to-shoulder across fleets as we turn the peninsula into an urban "country fair," that includes BBQ, children's crafts and live demo's.

Tuesday Night Windsurfing Practice and Racing

Tuesday nights are the perfect night for newer windsurfers who have completed a class to come out and practice their skills.  Practice windsurfing nights run every Tuesday from May through September. Experienced windsurfers will be available to help get you on the water. If there's enough interest, buoys will be set out for fun racing.  Come out and windsurf or just cheer the rest of us on.  There is no cost to members for attending the Tuesday Night Windsurfing Practice and Racing, but please RSVP at the event listing on the calendar.

Monday and Wednesday Night Sailboat Practice

Monday and Wednesday Night Sailboat Practice is a drop-in clinic to work on your sailing skills under supervision of a volunteer coach. You can work on those skills you would like to sharpen up on and ask question you have. Gates open at 5:00pm for rigging and we hit the water around 6:00pm. Sailing for one to two hours and then a debrief while derigging afterwards. Please RSVP on the calendar page so the coach has an idea how many will attend.

Monthly Sunday BBQ and FunDay

Not all events are race-oriented at Lake Washington! On one Sunday every month, we get together to sail, work on our boats, and enjoy a meal with each other. The sailing agenda is “Whatever you want to do,” but will also include a different training or sailboat orientation at each month.  Enjoy the wind, water, food and your friends.

The barbeque/sail days are on the Sunday after the club's monthly meeting (2nd Tuesday of the Month) to give new members a chance to meet other members and to have their orientation. The day is very casual and we need people to open and close, get the safety boat out, and light and put away the barbeques.

RACING AND CLASSES ARE HELD ON THURDAY EVENINGS AND ON WEEKENDS.  CHECK THE RACING PAGE, LESSONS PAGE, AND CALANDAR FOR MORE INFORMATION
